Are all your services packages?
Not all services are custom packages. For land programs, we work on packaged pricing as we primarily collaborate with in-country partners to create a bespoke itinerary specifically for you. Our in-destination onsites have privately contracted rates with hotels, guides, and drivers, and the packaged rate of your complete experience includes 24/7 concierge service to ensure you are always equipped with someone to call while abroad. Because of this, services in a packaged itinerary cannot be itemized, but everything is amendable to mold this itinerary to fit your vision. Many of our clients book cruises with us, along with individual hotel stays and a la carte tours and experiences. Our consultation call will determine the best method to use for planning your dream vacation.
What if I just want a quick getaway?
With our extensive program memberships (along with Virtuoso and Forbes Travel Guide), we are happy to book “just a hotel stay” for you, and to ensure you receive all the extras.
How do I reach you while I’m on my trip?
With time zone changes and weekend hours, we always equip our travelers with in-country emergency contact information. If you need immediate assistance, your in-country emergency contacts provided in your final travel documents will be the best option in urgent situations. We are happy to hear from you during your trip should you want to share any feedback, or if there is anything we can accomplish from a remote location without time constraints (i.e. requesting a refund).
What will my itinerary look like?
We utilize a software called Tern for Travelers, which allows you to have all of your travel elements at your fingertips. Between 10 and 7 days from departure, you will receive a digital invitation to view your itinerary online and/or in the Tern for Travelers app on your phone. In addition, you will receive a printed and bound version of your itinerary in your Sterling Journeys departure box, which will be mailed to your door. The Tern for Travelers app can be updated in real time, and even tracks your flights.
Can I book anything with my points?
We request that anything intended to be booked with points (which we advise be your flights) be disclosed on the consult call. When managing a trip, it is essential that your advisor has access to your bookings. Any bookings made independently are not within our agency jurisdiction, and thus cannot be managed by our team. If you choose to book a small portion of your trip with your points (such as a single hotel night stay or your flights), you accept the risk of managing that booking independently.
